Your Member Compass™ is the means by which you have access to your CBA member file. When you login to the CBA website, your Member Compass™ permits you access to your financial history with CBA, events (i.e., CBA meetings) for which you have registered, and your profile (including your billing & shipping addresses, your specializations, and other information that appears in the membership directory). Below are descriptions of the components of your member compass.

N.B. If your login email ever changes, please notify CBA (cba-office@cua.edu). The CBA Office will change the email address and send a link to reset your password.

If you already are logged into the CBA website and you wish to access your your Member Compass™, click on your name in the upper right corner of the web page or click on "Member Compass" under "Membership" in the navigation toolbar at the top of the web page.

On your Dashboard you can quickly see

1.  the year you became a member*
2.  when your membership dues expire

The Dashboard also is where the CBA Office will post

3. announcements and deadlines and
4. quick links to the registration site for the next Annual General Meeting and deadline reminders.

* N.B. If you forgo paying dues for a period, the number will reset to the year you again started paying dues.
The CBA Office will still have on record the original year you became a member.

Account History

The CBA membership database is fully integrated with the CBA accounting software. Your account history reports all financial transactions since the installment of the new accounting software and membership database in 2018 or whenever you became a member (whichever is more recent). Items appear in the table with the most recent transaction appearing at the top.

Understanding Your Account History

Each invoice payment transaction will officially have two parts: Invoice and Payment. The Invoice is what gets marked as Paid, and the invoice Payment is what is marked as Closed. Direct payments made for Meetings (or dues after a membership account has expired) will appear as a "Sales Receipt."

Each entry in your Account History lists:

  1. Type of transaction: "Invoice," "Payment," "Sales Receipt," or "Credit Memo" for either Dues or Events (i.e. Meetings).
    • Open or Overdue invoices will have a gold "Pay" button. Clicking on that button opens a form that permits members to securely pay that invoice via credit card.
(N.B. Since the accounting software requires a five-digit zip code on the payment form,
international accounts may use the CBA Office zip code: 20064).
    • At any time, invoices (open, overdue, or paid) may be printed by clicking on the burgundy "VIEW/PRINT" button.
      • BALANCE DUE:  Print to pay by check to
        Catholic Biblical Association
        P.O. Box 713
        Waddell, AZ  85355 USA
Please include a copy of the invoice with your check.
      • BALANCE of $0.00: Print as a sales receipt. Printed invoice will be marked "PAID."
  2. Status of transaction:
    • When CBA generates the Dues or Event Invoice, the status is "Open" until the due date,
After the due date, the status is "Overdue."
    • When CBA receives payment, the status for the Dues Invoice becomes "Paid" and a new transaction entry is generated  with "Payment" in the header
      • If the payment is in full, then the status column for the "Payment" row will indicate "Closed" and the balance column for both rows is at $0.00.
      • If partial payment is applied, then the invoice status is still "Open" unless the invoice due date has passed in which case the status is "Overdue".
  3. Printing receipt/invoice or event/meeting sales receipt:
    • To print a receipt or invoice, click on the "VIEW/PRINT" button.
    • Once the invoice (receipts are marked PAID) has appeared in your browser, click on the print icon.

My Events

My Events will provide you with quick links to the event page of CBA meetings for which you have registered.

  • If you are registered for a meeting, it will appear under "My Upcoming Events."
You may add your meeting(s) to your calendar.
  • Meetings that you have attended are listed under "Past Events."
  • Clicking on the "VIEW ALL EVENTS" button will reveal future CBA meetings (posted as the dates are confirmed by the location).
