In Memoriam: M. Dennis Hamm, S.J.

In Memoriam:

CBA mourns the passing of M. Dennis Hamm, SJ, who died on November 19, 2023 at St. Camillus Jesuit Community in Wauwautosa, Wisconsin at the age of 87.  A member of CBA since 1971, Dennis studied at Saint Louis University, earning an M.A./Ph.L. in English and Philosophy (1964), M.Div. in Theology (1970), and a Ph.D. in Biblical Languages and Literature (1975). He also was a fellow at Yale School of Divinity (1973-75). 

After earning his doctorate, taught for nearly 50 years at Creighton University where he was a professor of theology (1975-2014) and professor emeritus of theology (2014-2022).

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
