In Memoriam: Donald R. Vance

CBA mourns the passing of Donald Richard Vance who died July 4, 2025 a few weeks before his 68th birthday. A member of CBA since 2015, Donald was active in the Hebrew Poetry Continuing Seminar.

Donald studied  at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago and the University of Denver/Iliff School of Theology, where he earned his Ph.D. in Biblical Interpretation. His education also included time spent living in Israel, where he studied at the Institute of Holy Land Studies. He taught at Oral Roberts University and his publications include the Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, A Reader’s Addition.
