DIRECTIONS TO THE CAMPUS

  • FROM THE EAST: 
    • Take I-271 South to I-77 South to Exit 111
    • Make a Left (East) on Portage
    • Follow Portage into residential area and veer Left at the fork in the road.
    • At second stop light, Main Street, turn Right.
    • Turn Left on East Maple at light.
    • Continue on East Maple until you reach Walsh University's main entrance on the right. 
  • FROM THE WEST: 
    • Take the Turnpike I-80 East to I-77 South to Exit 111
    • Make a Left (East) on Portage
    • Follow Portage into residential area and veer Left at the fork in the road.
    • At second stop light, Main Street, turn Right.
    • Turn Left on East Maple at light.
    • Continue on East Maple until you reach Walsh University's main entrance on the right. 
  • FROM THE SOUTH: 
    • Take I-77 North to Exit 111
    • Make a Right (East) on Portage
    • Follow Portage into residential area and veer Left at the fork in the road.
    • At second stop light, Main Street, turn Right.
    • Turn Left on East Maple at light.
    • Continue on East Maple until you reach Walsh University's main entrance on the right. 
  • FROM THE NORTH: 
    • Take I-77 South to Exit 111
    • Make a Left (East) on Portage
    • Follow Portage into residential area and veer Left at the fork in the road.
    • At second stop light, Main Street, turn Right.
    • Turn Left on East Maple at light.
    • Continue on East Maple until you reach Walsh University's main entrance on the right.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

Walsh University s located near two airports that accommodate individuals traveling a greater distance.

  • Akron-Canton Airport (CAK) is only 15 minutes from campus.
  • Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is 59 miles north of the campus, approximately one hour. 

Both airports have car rental companies and taxi services available.

  • Sleeping accommodations (13 on the campus map):

    • STEIN HALL (apartments)
      Apartments have four bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as a common living area, full kitchen and a laundry room.
    • OLIIVIERI TOWERS (dorm rooms)
  • Meeting Spaces

    • Plenary sessions and socials will be in BARRETTE CENTER (7 on the campus map)
    • Breakout sessions will be in
      • BAR: BARRETTE CENTER (7)
      • GLC: GLOBAL LEARNING CENTER (10)
      • TNSCC: TIMKEN NATURAL SCIENCES CENTER (4)
    • Exhibits/Book displays will be in the GLOBAL LEARNING CENTER (10 on the campus map)
    • Coffee breaks and socials will be in GLOBAL LEARNING CENTER (10 on the campus map)
    • Meals will be taken at the Schervish Dining Hall on the second floor of the DAVID CAMPUS CENTER (9 on the campus map). Walsh University has several local eateries within walking distance of the campus. There is a Starbucks, Giant Eagle supermarket, Walgreens, and some fast food services on East Maple Street opposite of the Walsh University campus.
    • Liturgies will be in OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP CHAPEL (2 on the campus map)

CHECKING IN

Registration packets, sleeping room assignments, and keys may be picked up in the lobby of the DAVID CAMPUS CENTER (9 on the campus map).

 * The Walsh University Information Desk in the Davd Center is open 8AM - 10PM and will accept keys when no one is at the Registration Desk. If you are departing earlier, call Security at 330-490-7474 and they will receive your keys.

  • Staying On-Campus

    • Amenities: Each guest will get one linen packet placed in their room. pillow, pillowcase, top & bottom sheet, blanket, 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 2 wash cloths, bar of soap.

    • Keys: Each guest will get two key cards or keys.  One for the building entrance and one for their room. All doors automatically lock, so whenever you leave your room, you need your key card to get back in.  

      There is a fee for any lost cards or keys.

    • Early Arrivals: Meal plans begin with Saturday dinner. Walsh University has several local eateries within walking distance of the campus. There is a Starbucks, Giant Eagle supermarket, Walgreens, and some fast food services on East Maple Street opposite of the Walsh University campus.

    • Late Arrivals: If your travel plans get you to Walsh University after the registration desk is closed, please give advance notice to Jackie at 330-490-7117 so that arrangements may be made to have you access your room.  If a late arrival is due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., bad weather, delayed flight) late arrivals, call or text at 303-319-1918. Messages can be left.

CHECKING OUT

  • At the end of your stay, linens should be stacked and left in the room and keys returned to the registration desk.
  • See times above for when the Registration Desk will be staffed.

PARKING

Campus parking is free.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Campus Shuttle: The Walsh University campus is compact, but there will be a 6 person golf cart to shuttle those who require ambulatory assistance.
  • Dining Options: 
    • If you did not order a meal plan, the Dining Hall has a pay-as-you-go option.
