Ki-Eun Jang

Ki-Eun Jang is Assistant Professor of Hebrew Bible at Fordham University. Her research bridges the social world of the ancient Middle East that produced the Hebrew Bible with the intellectual legacies of modernity that shape how communities of readers and interpreters conceive of the past and envision the future. Over six semesters, she has taught "The Bible as Migration Literature: Then and Now," which draws on historical and contemporary migration discourses as a hermeneutical lens for rethinking biblical laws and narratives. Her public-facing scholarship has engaged topics in the Bible and migration as well as AI and biblical interpretation.
