Professional Bio

Elizabeth holds a PhD in Religious Studies from Marquette University in Wisconsin, specializing in the New Testament. She also holds both a Masters and Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the International Theological Institute in Austria and a Bachelors in German Language, Literature, and Culture from Central Michigan University. Her dissertation—entitled “‘Hearing the Voice of the Bridegroom’: A Johannine Nuptial Christology for the 21st Century”—centers on Jesus as Bridegroom and Jesus's encounters with women in the Gospel of John. She has two years’ experience teaching theology to undergraduates, including one semester teaching the Gospel of John to seminarians at St. Patrick’s Pontifical University of Maynooth, Ireland.
