About Us

Fontbonne Hall Academy, a prestigious Catholic high school for young women sponsored by the
Sisters of Saint Joseph, is seeking a dynamic and faith-filled Experienced Religion Teacher to
join our faculty. Rooted in the CSJ charism of unity, reconciliation, and inclusive love,
Fontbonne provides a rigorous academic program within a vibrant faith community. We are
committed to empowering young women to become compassionate leaders rooted in the Gospel
of Christ.


The Religion Teacher plays a vital role in advancing the spiritual and intellectual formation of
our students and in supporting the mission of Catholic education within the Fontbonne
community.


Responsibilities

Instruction and Curriculum
● Teach Religion courses that foster a deep understanding of Catholic theology, scripture,
moral teaching, and Church tradition.
● Design engaging and meaningful lessons that support students’ intellectual and spiritual
growth.
● Promote inquiry-based discussion, critical thinking, and reflection within the study of
faith and theology.
● Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback that supports academic and
personal development.

Faith Formation and Mission
● Contribute to the faith life of the school by supporting liturgies, retreats, service
initiatives, and other mission-centered activities.
● Encourage students to explore their faith while cultivating compassion, leadership, and a
commitment to service.
● Support the Catholic identity of the school in alignment with the charism and mission of
the Sisters of Saint Joseph.

Collaboration and Community Engagement
● Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Religion Department and across
academic disciplines.
● Participate actively in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development
opportunities.
● Contribute to a positive and supportive school community that reflects the mission and
values of Fontbonne Hall Academy.

Qualifications

● Master’s degree in Theology or Religious Studies, required.
● Minimum of five (5) years of experience teaching Religion, preferably in a Catholic
high school setting.
● Passion for faith formation and the ability to inspire young people in their spiritual
development.
● Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
● Commitment to the mission and values of Fontbonne Hall Academy and the Sisters of
Saint Joseph.

Compensation and Benefits

● Salary range: $61,000 – $82,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
