The Affections of Christ Jesus:
Love at the Heart of Paul’s Theology

A part of CBA's series of free virtual events which draw together scholars from diverse fields to discuss a recent publication through reflection on specific questions.

In this Unbound Book Review, we will gather to reflect on Gupta’s work with the following questions:

1. How do we move from Pauline texts to Pauline theology?
2. How much can we know about the historical Paul?
3. What is the center of Paul’s theology?
4. How much can we apply modern, moral psychology to an ancient figure like Paul?

After a brief introduction of the book by Gupta, we will welcome reflections from
James McGrath and Timothy Milinovich.
